Ponds and Water Features

At R.D. Landcapes, we absolutely love creating ponds and water features, and over the years we’ve had the pleasure of designing and building a wide variety of natural-looking streams, cascades, waterfalls and ornamental ponds for customers across the Furness area.

Some of the photographs shown below also feature our award-winning exhibits at the Holker Hall Countryside and Garden Festival, where we proudly achieved Gold Medal Awards and multiple Best Walk-Through Garden Awards. One of our most memorable achievements was receiving the prestigious Lady Cavendish Award for Best Walk-Through Garden, a moment of great honour for our team.

During the festival in 1996, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh visited our display and personally complimented us on the quality, craftmanship and creativity of our garden exhibit – a moment we still treasure today.

Lakeland Slate and Natural Limestone

The photos above show examples of the ponds and water features we’ve created over the years, using beautiful Lakeland Slate and Natural Limestone to achieve a truly authentic, timeless appearance. Every stone is carefully placed to ensure the stream or cascade looks natural, blends into the surroundings and provides years of enjoyment. As you can see, the results look realistic.

We’ve thorughly enjoyed crafting these water features and we’re very much looking forward to creating even more throughout 2026 and beyond.

If you would like a quotation for a new pond, stream, cascade or waterfall – whether small, medium or large – we would be delighted to provide you with a free no-obligation quotation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Russell's team transformed our rear garden. The old patio was removed and replaced with a lovely coloured sandstone one. The lawn was removed and replaced with decorative stone and chippings. The work was completed on time despite us updating our requirements mid-way through the work.
The team were friendly, hardworking and nothing was too much bother. Russell and his team are highly recommended.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have used RD Landscapes for various home projects. Every project, including the latest one, has been carried out with care, efficiency and high quality. Pricing is competitive and good value, and the workers are tidy, respectful and stick to what they say. Russ Dodd gives responsive and transparent quotes for works, but there is never pressure. I would highly recommend using RD Landscapes for your garden and landscaping projects.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We can’t praise Russell & his team high enough. Russell came to measure up for a quote bang on time. Kept us updated with times.
We wanted some flag stones taken up, digging down, soil & then turf laid, with a little corner area with shrubs for the cat.
They did a fantastic job & for a good price, it looks great, left us with care tips for the new turf too, we even had some weeds in a planter & a bit of grass showing through a flag which we hadn’t got round to doing , which they got rid of & they left it cleaner & tidier when finished than it was before they even came round.
When we need a new fence or anything else they will be our first call.
They did a great job & highly recommend their work.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Russell and his team recently transformed our garden from rotten flower beds and uneven artificial grass to a beautiful green even artificial grass area in the front and back of our property which our kids are going to love. I couldn’t recommend them more, managed to get us in really quickly and completely the work quickly and efficiently.
